What things actually cost in Nairobi (2025 edition)

We built Rudi & Co. on one promise: prices you can see. So here are the real 2025 numbers we quote our own guests.

Nairobi National Park: non-resident entry is USD 43 per adult. A private 4x4 with guide for the morning runs USD 70–90 on top. Anyone quoting you "from $25 all-in" is planning to renegotiate at the gate.

A private driver for a full day in the city: USD 60–80 depending on vehicle. A genuinely good dinner for two with drinks: USD 40–70. A specialty coffee: about USD 3. A boutique hotel in Karen or Westlands: USD 120–250 a night, with real quality starting around USD 150.

Where people overpay: airport taxis (fix the price before you ride, or better, have one arranged), market souvenirs (a guide pays half of what a tourist pays), and "all-inclusive" day tours that exclude the fees that matter.

Every itinerary we send is line-item priced — park fees, transport, meals we book, our fee — before you commit to anything. If a number changes, you see why.
